Congratulations to all of the award winners. Our community benefits greatly from your efforts. They volunteered at Eastside, local churches, the Red Cross Blood Drives, Bake Sales, Alzheimer’s Garage Sales, and Goodwill.
Coming up on June 7, Your Community Health Fair will be held from 8:30AM to 12:00 noon at the Snellville Senior Center located at 2350 Oak Road. . It is open to all ages and is free. It has a theme of “Be Healthy, Be Well, Be Beautiful” It will feature face painting, Yoga and Exercise, Kids’ games and Chair Massage. Some of the medical testing to be done will be diabetes screening, blood pressure screening, HIV testing, Vision, and Hearing Screening. Information on Affordable Healthcare Insurance, Women’s Health and Heart Health will be provided. It is co-sponsored by Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., H2U Health to You, and Eastside Medical Center. It is really an event you should participate in.
If you should miss the Community Health Fair, the regular H2U health screening will be held on Thursday, June 12 at Eastside Medical Center from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. There is a small fee for the tests being made there. It is open to all persons over 18 years of age.

Our sincere sympathy goes to Annie Copeland in the loss of her husband Rex. She had retired to be with him and managed to have little more than a year of his company. We miss her. Happy Birthday goes to Don Cardwell, Mozelle and Robert Cavender, Jerry Conner, Sarah George, and Charlotte Hicks. Congratulations to Eva Mae Tillotson who won the grand prize for the best pecan pie at the Spring Fling at her granddaughters Elementary School.
