Frankly, I thought I was. It was not my fault that they chose to talk too softly. I heard what was on my television quite well, so it had to be their muttering that was causing the problem.
Then while visiting in their home, I found my grandchildren listening to and laughing at a television program that was so soft I could not hear it. So I decided to have my hearing checked. Our next health screening will be on Thursday June 12 from 8 AM to 10 AM at Eastside Medical Center Classrooms 1& 2. Cholesterol $5, blood sugar $3.50( must fast from midnight the night before ) Lipid Blood Profile $17.50. This is a community service and the public is invited to participate. Test results will be sent to your doctor. You do not have to be an H2U member to participate. There is a family Health fair being planned for sometime in May. Give the H2U office a call to find the correct date. There will be health tests and lots of informative presentations.
H2U is looking for volunteers to help in the garden at EMC South Campus and at the security desk at South Campus. The garden adds so much to the atmosphere in the hospital. I hope when the weather settles a little, more people will take part. May 6-8-2014 Cathy Stokes is planning a three day and two night Tybee Island Getaway. All of Cathy’s trips are enjoyable so check with her at 770-985-6131 to see if there is an available spot for you. She has a Bermuda Cruise coming up in June that sounds really interesting. Wait! Congratulations to Joyce Schram who is pleased to see the last of all five of her grandchildren receive their college degree. This last one was with high honors.
