God is in control

There are so many belief systems that are floating around right now. Some folks think the government is in some kind of conspiracy. Many think that this is far worse than they are telling us. While others believe that everyone is being far too dramatic and it’s not as bad as they are saying.

Some people are scared. Some are not. Some folks are panicked. Some are not. Some individuals are being careful. Some are not.
Some people believe this virus is punishment from God. Others believe God is trying to get our attention. Some folks believe God is angry. Others believe that this is the beginning of the end.

I want each of us to put aside all of our opinions and our wavering belief system and deal with only God’s truth right now. The truth of God directly from the Bible.

Personally, I do not have the gift of prophecy. Nor do I have a divine supernatural brand new word to give you. What I do have for you is the truth that God knows the future. A future that may scare you. A future that may feel uncertain to you. But know this, God is the God of the future and He knows what the future holds.

Job 11:7, “Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty?”

Psalm 147:5, “Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite.”

Isaiah 46:10, “Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things which have not been done…”

John 13:19, “From now on I am telling you before it comes to pass, so that when it does occur, you may believe that I am He.”

These are just a few of the verses that promise you that God has your future under His control.

There is no need to fret tomorrow – for God has already been there.

There is no need to agonize or worry about your future – for God has already been there. German concentration camp survivor, Corrie ten Boom, said, “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”

Christian theologian, St. Augustine of Hippo, said, “Trust the past to God’s mercy, the present to God’s love and the future to God’s providence.”

Scottish pastor, Alexander Maclaren, said, “Being in Christ, it is safe to forget the past; it is possible to be sure of the future; it is possible to be diligent in the present.”

Your life is in your Lord’s hands and He can be fully trusted. He can do all things and no one and nothing can stop Him.

He is in full control. Of you. Of your marriage. Of your finances. Of your life. Of your present. Of your future.

Complete control.

So get rid of this persistent worrying and striving, because that demonstrates that you don’t really believe that your Lord is in control. Get rid of this constant doubt and anxiety, because that you don’t really trust that your God has everything in His power. Get rid of this nagging fretting and fear, because that shows that you aren’t resting in the fact that God has you in the palm of His hand.

Let this be your challenge right now. Give that worry, fretting, striving, doubting, anxiety and fear to your Lord, according to 1 Peter 5:7, “Casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.”

Charles Frazier Stanley, said, “Our problems may stay, our circumstances may remain, but we know God is in control. We are focused on His adequacy, not our inadequacy.”
Job 42:2, “I know that Thou canst do all things and that no purpose of Thine can be thwarted.”

Do not fear, for you have a heavenly Father that holds your future firmly in His hand
