Uprising 7th grader Madisyn Hatter-Loyd is enjoying her summer vacation in Louisiana! She is spending time with family and friends; but it’s not just the students that are ready for the heat! Kelli Oglesby, a language arts teacher at Couch has plans to go to Polly’s Island in South Carolina. It’s a tradition in her family and she plans to continue that tradition this summer!
Rising 8th grader Faith Morehead has many summer plans, but says she is mostly excited about traveling to Columbus, GA to support her older sister, Sarabeth Morehead as she competes for Miss Rockdale’s Outstanding Teen in the Miss Georgia Pageant!

Wow! There are so many exciting plans that students have in this hot weather! I hope to see you all again at Couch Middle in the fall; but for now, I’ll be enjoying the beach and cheering on my sister queens at Miss Georgia as Miss Rockdale’s Princess! Whether its outside in the sprinklers or cooling off on your couch, I hope Couch Middle School’s students enjoy their summer break!
