Keep America Beautiful/Lowe’s Community Partners Grant Will Support the Establishment of School based Learning Gardens in North Georgia

Lawrenceville – Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s iconic community improvement nonprofit organization, today announced the organization is providing Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful with a $20,000 grant as part of the 2017 Keep America Beautiful/Lowe’s Community Partners Grant Program.

Lawrenceville - The Ladies of the Gwinnett County Alumnae Chapter (GCAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated in partnership with the Fortitude Foundation, Incorporated hosts its' Second Annual Sweets and Sounds outdoor celebration of the arts fundraiser. This event will take place on Sunday, September 10th from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (Gates open at 3 p.m.) at the beautiful Millennium Gate Museum located in the heart of Atlantic Station.

The internationally famous Harlem Globetrotters, beginning its 90th season of entertaining fans around the world, are located in Peachtree Corners in Gwinnett County, opening its doors in Technology Park in May 2016.

While the name doesn’t roll off the tongue and wasn’t exactly what founder Abe Saperstein had in mind when he started the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team in 1927, if you want to be geographically correct, the Peachtree Corners Globetrotters it is.
