Montana Busch, Founder of Alternative Energy Southeast (AltEnergySE.com), said, “We are very proud to be selected by Apsilon Hotels to be their partner in this exceptional project. This is exactly the kind of work that I visualized doing ten years ago when I made it my life’s work to bring the benefits of clean, renewable energy to homes and businesses in the South.”
Alternative Energy Southeast has a business office in Lilburn and an operations office in Athens, GA. They offer free estimates for home and businesses across the Southeast interested in how much solar energy can save them. CEO Raj Patel of Apsilon Hotels Group, which owns and operates the Crowne Plaza, added, “Our intent is to minimize the hotel’s environmental impact and carbon footprint by making the property more energy efficient and reducing its reliance on fossil fuels.”
The system will offset over 24,000 tons of carbon over its life – the equivalent of planting over half-a-million trees.
Upon completion, hotel guests will be able to see live data on an LED display in the lobby including solar power output, total energy generated from the time of installation and the equivalent greenhouse gas emissions saved.
The project is scheduled for completion in August 2018.
