District 2 Commissioner Howard expressed her gratitude to voters for their continued support of SPLOST, which is funding this project.
“To keep up with Gwinnett’s growing population, investing in resources for our senior residents is crucial,” said Howard. “With a larger center and better amenities, we can expand the services we offer with more programs and activities designed to keep our seniors active and engaged.”
Interior renovations include modernized restrooms, new furnishings and furniture designed to meet seniors’ needs, dining room updates and a hearing assistance system. Additional space will allow for new and expanded programming like art, sewing and writing classes as well as gardening opportunities and cooking demonstrations.
The Norcross Senior Center, located at 5030 Georgia Belle Court in Norcross, opened in 1998 and celebrated its 20th anniversary earlier this year.
