One of the distribution facilities is located in the Peachtree Corners community and is dedicated to making sure children in need receive a gift for Christmas this year. Volunteers from non-profit organizations partnered with local Gwinnett public elementary schools, churches, non-profit ministries, and apartment communities to provide gifts to children in the Peachtree Corners area.
Over 35 volunteers diligently worked together to wrap presents and prepare for this special Holiday Giveaway event. Each child received wrapped presents and had an opportunity to participate in a raffle for extra special gifts including a shiny new bicycle. The raffle winners left with far more than they expected.
“The team is an amazing group of volunteers dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those in need,” said Phil Sadd, a Peachtree Corners Councilmember who lives in the community.
Seven organizations collaborated to help make this effort successful:
• Peachtree Elementary School
• Stripling Elementary School
• Barrington Hills Apartments
• Salvation and Deliverance Church
• Life Center Ministries
• Bridging the Gap Independent Living
• Beauty Inside Out Ministry
Sadd said that “toys may be the focal point for the children, but the real gift is giving hope and encouragement to families in need.”
