Taking place October through May, First Friday Concerts fill the halls of the Norcross Cultural Arts & Community Center with the sounds of jazz, rock, Motown and more on the ‘First Friday’ of each month, from 7 to 9 p.m.
It all starts with a bit of that ‘ole time rock ‘n roll on October 5th, with The Rainmen taking the stage! Specializing in the sixties and early seventies tunes, the group is made up of long-time veterans of the Atlanta music scene. They draw their playlists from The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Byrds, The Traveling Wilburys, Spirit, Dave Edmunds, Sir Douglas Quintet and more. The band came together because they all wanted to play that kind of upbeat, danceable and just plain fun rock ‘n roll that they all loved and grew up on, so if you’re looking for a lively night out, this is a concert you won’t want to miss!
