Dr. Chappell received his PhD in Horticulture in 2007 from the University of Georgia and currently is an Assistant Professor and Statewide Extension Horticulturist in the University Of Georgia Department Of Horticulture. Dr. Chappell is the UGA Faculty Liaison and Education Chairperson for the Georgia Green Industry Association and interacts regularly with other Horticulture Trade Associations. In addition, Dr. Chappell has published several articles focusing on the use of native plants in traditional landscape design and the title of his presentation is “Native Plants You Should Know”.
The meeting will be held at: The Bethesda Senior Center, 225 Bethesda Church Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30044, 678.277.0179. The center is located at the intersection of Ronald Regan Parkway and Bethesda Church Road. There will be a covered dish dinner at 6:30, with the program following at 7 p.m. You are welcome to join them for dinner but please bring a dish to share; otherwise come for the program at 7 p.m.
