Staff and citizens are invited to apply for the GEMS Oversight Committee, a group of community and school system representatives charged with the annual review of the Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum. Find the downloadable application online. Completed applications should be returned by Aug. 28 to the attention of Debbie Cate, Director of Curriculum Development, at the Instructional Support Center, located at 437 Old Peachtree Rd. NW in Suwanee.
Registration for the 2015 Middle School Summer Career Academy is underway. Students can explore careers involving Culinary Arts, Digital Media, Music Production, Photography, Sports Medicine Vet Science and Video Production. Students in 6th through 8th grade, who are currently enrolled in a Gwinnett County Middle School, are eligible for the program.

Time: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Cost $75 per session.
