Central Gwinnett High School Set to Celebrate its 60th Anniversary

LAWRENCEVILLE– New Central Gwinnett High School Principal, Shane Orr, spoke at the annual meeting of the Central Gwinnett Class of 1961 this past Friday. The Central Gwinnett Class of 1961 group is organized by Mr. Hoyt Huff, and is the first class of students to attend all four years of high school at Central Gwinnett.

Mr. Orr, a 1995 graduate of Central, is also the first Central alumnus to serve as Principal of the school. This year marks the school’s 60th Anniversary, and there will be several events held to mark the occasion. Among them are:

Oct. 6th Homecoming—Alumni school tours beginning at 4PM, Alumni Tailgate at 5PM, Homecoming Parade at 6PM, Ring of Honor Ceremony at 7PM, and Football Game Kick-off 8PM

Oct. 7 Alumni Softball Game, 9AM

Oct. 8 60th Anniversary Gala, 3-5PM—Special Guest Speakers, Hors d’oeuvres, and Fine Arts Performances. Bring your Central memorabilia!
