“We are looking forward to another exciting event season! As always, the community favorites will be coming back but we will also be introducing a few new events to the lineup”, said Events Coordinator Kristin Edwards.
The event season kicks off in March with the return of Muddbuggs & Music, presented by Rock 100.5, Kicks 101.5 and City of Duluth. This ticketed event will be held on March 28. Enjoy crawfish, delicious low country boil, live entertainment, beer and more on Duluth Town Green. Community favorite Flicks on the Bricks returns and presents a free movie on the first Friday of every month from June–August (excluding July).

Fridays-N-Duluth kicks off May 1 from 6-9pm. It will encompass Food Truck Friday which will run from May 1–September 18. The Block Party on Main will return the last Friday of the month from May-August. Both Fridays-N-Duluth events will feature food trucks, live music, and vendors. Block Parties themes will include ‘Adult Field Day’, a pep rally with local high schools and the ‘Dog Days of Summer.’
Signature events like Duluth Celebrates America, Back-to-School Bubblepalooza, Howl on the Green, Deck the Hall and Cookies & Cocoa with Santa will all be back for 2020. Events introduced in 2019 are also returning this year: Duluth El Señor Taco Festival, Rocky Horror Picture Show and the Indie Green Festival. The Lantern Walk will kick off Duluth’s 9-day art week which features interactive activities such as Tweet & Seek, dance, theatre, music and more. A performance by the Duluth High School’s Wildcat Theater on May 9 will wrap up Art Week on Duluth Town Green.
The Summer Stage Concert series will return on June 20 with a performance by Yacht Rock Schooner and on August 15 with a performer that is yet to be announced. Cinema at the Red Clay will continue with a free movie showing the last Wednesday of each month October-December.
The popular tailgate game Peach State Cornhole returns-on Thursdays with three 8-week leagues for all to enjoy.
New to the scene is Duluth Derby Day which will take place on May 2. Attendees can expect to have the Kentucky Derby experience in Parsons Alley with an outdoor screen, lounge seating, themed entertainment and children’s activities. In fall, we will be introducing the Community Yard Sale on October 3. Clean out your storage rooms and join us for a day of community fun complete with live music and snack vendors.
The award-winning STEAM event will be back again this year on October 6 with Duluth cluster schools participating in the wonders of science, technology, engineering, art and math.
