“We’re very excited that the Grayson Cycling Club has chosen to begin and finish their rides at the Grayson Coffee House,” said Allison Grier, one of the partners at the Coffee House. “We’re adding items to our menu to accommodate the nutritional bars and drinks that bikers look for at the start and completion of their ride.”
Chris Banks, one of the organizers of the Club, likes the idea of the safety in numbers when riding. “Drivers are more apt to pay heed and make accommodations for a group rather than a single rider,” he said. “In addition to that, this ride is a great way to support the Coffee House and Grayson.”
“I am so pleased that the Grayson Coffee House and the Grayson Cycling Club have created this twice a week opportunity to make Grayson the destination of cyclists in our community,” said Gail Lane, Grayson’s Community Development Director. “Local support of our businesses and strengthening relationships between the participants is a win-win for everybody involved!”
The route will be 18-20 miles along the back roads from Grayson to Loganville and back.
Special kits are being made for club members and will be available through the Grayson Coffee House.
