Grizzly Rotaract Club growing

Students in the Grizzly Rotaract Club at Georgia Gwinnett College are dedicated to serving their community.  They meet every two weeks in the Student Union room 2161 and plan projects.

With their sponsoring Rotary Club, the Rotary Club of Lawrenceville, they participate in road clean-up along Old Norcross Road a couple of times a year.   They participate in Great Days of Service for Gwinnett County, this year helping in clean-up activities in the courtyard at Lawrenceville Elementary School.  Individual members have joined in card games at Garden Plaza and read to children at Lawrenceville Elementary.

Rotaract is an international organization with 163,000 members of some 7,088 Rotaract clubs in 151 countries.  Members  focus on hands-on service projects but also have fun networking and sponsoring social activities.  The club emphasizes development of leadership and networking skills.

The Grizzly club is actively soliciting new members and GGC students interested should contact President Sanah Hassan at shassan@ggc.edu or Vice President Nic Burchell at nburchell@ggc.edu.
