This year marks the 100th anniversary of the 1918 Spanish Influenza pandemic. It remains the deadliest pandemic in human history and a similar event could occur today with catastrophic results due to modern-day trade, travel, and shifting demographics.
Keisha Francis, Environmental Epidemiologist and leading investigator for foodborne and waterborne outbreaks in Gwinnett, Newton, and Rockdale Counties, will discuss resources and tips on how to plan and prepare for a real-life pandemic.
Workshops take place on the following dates:
October 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Five Forks Branch, 2780 Five Forks Trickum Rd., Lawrenceville;
October 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Suwanee Branch, 361 Main St., Suwanee.
