Joe Moss to co-chair "Step-Out" diabetes fundraising event

Joe Moss, President of Embassy National Bank in Lawrenceville, has agreed to serve as Co-Chairman for the “Step Out: Walk To Stop Diabetes” annual fund-raising event being held by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) on Saturday, November 14 at Turner Field.

Joining Moss as co-chair is Orlando Lynch, President and CEO of Atlanta Peach Movers.

“More than one million Georgians have diabetes and the disease is the 10^th leading cause of death in our state,” explained Moss. “These are not just impersonal numbers — we all know someone with diabetes.”

The “Step Out” event includes a 3.1 mile walk as well as music and other festivities. Almost 3,000 people are expected to attend and thousands more will participate with their contributions.

“We invite people to get together a team of family, friends, or co-workers,” added Moss. “Join us and make the day a really fun experience.”
