Students and members of the Lanier community will present ideas and interactive activities that celebrate and demonstrate STEM principles.
The event is designed after the nationally-celebrated Maker Faire which began in San Mateo, CA, about 10 years ago with the goal to be the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth. For more information, visit Maker Faire Atlanta
The festival on May 16 runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lanier High School, located at 918 Buford Highway, Sugar Hill, GA. The event is sponsored by the Lanier High School CDAT-STEM Academy in collaboration with the other Lanier Cluster schools: Sugar Hill Elementary, Sycamore Elementary, White Oak Elementary, Buice School, and Lanier Middle. Additional details can be found at Lanier STEM Maker Fest
Lanier High School is the first non-charter, non-magnet, all-inclusive, STEM certified high school in Georgia, and STEM education is a major initiative of the Lanier Cluster.
