The boxes are currently under the Christmas tree on the Towne Green in front of City Hall.
The leadership class teamed up with the Snellville Arts Commission on the community service project.
“The Snellville Arts Commission is working on developing a visual presence within the city by using artwork as a symbol of its mission and desire to create an arts district within the city limits,” said Alisa Boykin, vice chair of the Snellville Arts Commission and a member of Leadership Snellville. “The Snellville Arts Commission would like to thank Mayor Kelly Kautz and Leadership Snellville for their support of city boards and also offer special thanks to the city’s Economic Development Department and Snellville Tourism and Trade for partnering with this project and making it a part of this special event and holiday season.”
Project organizers said they would also like to thank the financial sponsors: The Restoration Boutique; Serenity Falls Watergardens & Landscaping; Mack Brannan for the construction work on the gift boxes and his wife Traci Brannan for designing the bows.
