Families from Duluth, Roswell, Lawrenceville and Acworth participated in the group’s monthly Donation Day Drive at its warehouse located at 991 Industrial Park Drive in Marietta. They helped assemble toiletry kits, school supplies packages and made no sew blankets.
If you would like to volunteer on your own, here’s more information. There are so many opportunities throughout the year. The Donation Day Drive takes place every third Saturday of the month. Just show up and they’ll put you to work.
Simple Needs GA (SNGA) started with one person’s mission to meet the simple needs of people experiencing homelessness in Cobb County. These acts of kindness might seem small, but they can make a huge difference in the life of a person in need.

They also met with the remarkable founder Brenda Rhodes who started making toiletry bags out of her home shortly after losing her job. Today her agency provides much needed items to those who need help in our community.

ABOUT LITTLE HELPERS
Little Helpers has been helping children help others since December 2010. The family volunteer group holds monthly service projects for children of all ages. It’s designed to help young people understand the value of volunteering, recognize the blessings in their lives, broaden their community perspective and feel the sense of accomplishment received from lending a helping hand. The ultimate goal of the program is to raise confident children who see giving back to the community as a normal aspect of their lives. Little Helpers was started in Memphis, but today has chapters across the country including Atlanta.
