It is the fifth year the cup will be up for grabs with South Gwinnett High School having won for the past three years.
“Brookwood is my alma mater,” Mayor Kelly Kautz said. “The question is will South keep the streak alive or will I finally be able to present the trophy to my alma mater?”
A big crowd is expected for the local rivalry and the extra incentive of winning the Cup adds to the excitement.
The game is Friday night at Brookwood High School.
