“She is a leader and advocate for secondary art teachers in Georgia,” says Lauren Christine Phillips, Co-District 3 President for the Georgia Art Education Association (GAEA). “Hope is incredibly hard working and has always volunteered in GAEA, whether she is organizing art auctions to raise scholarship money or helping out with our state conferences. We recognized Hope for all of the things she does to promote strong art education programs at the secondary level. We are grateful for her service.”
As a member of GAEA, Ms. Steele is currently organizing the All-State Art Symposium, which is a showcase for high school art students. She also has served GAEA as its secondary division director. Ms. Steele has taught Drawing and Painting at Peachtree Ridge High since 2005. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Art-Drawing & Painting from the University of Georgia.
