Pléin Air simply means “painting outside.” There will be over 20 “Full-time professional” artists, and 30+ artists in the “Open” category.
All around the Duluth area you will see artists and their easels, creating over 150 original pieces of art. Inspired by the historic buildings of Duluth, the Southeastern Train Museum, Historic Downtown Duluth, The Chattahoochee, Southern Homes. McDaniel’s Farm, and more.
Paint Duluth 5 Artist’s Reception will be held Sunday afternoon, October 11, 6:00pm until 8:00pm. The reception will be located at the offices of Adrian Collaborative, 3150 Main Street, Suite 103, Duluth, GA 30096. Art patrons will be treated to refreshments and outstanding art at some very friendly prices. Everyone will have a chance to meet the artists and vote for their favorite piece of art.
The display and sale of all art will continue to be on display and for sale throughout the week, Monday, October 12, until Saturday, October 17, from 1:00pm until 5:00pm each day.
The event was created by 2 Smith Art Gallery and the City of Duluth. Paint Duluth 5 is a fundraiser for the Duluth Public Art Commission, and the Duluth Fine Art League. Both are non-profits.
