Snellville economic development manager named finalist for Annual Partnership Gwinnett award

SNELLVILLE – City Economic Development Manager Eric Van Otteren has been named a finalist for an Annual Partnership Gwinnett Award by Partnership Gwinnett.

The winner in Van Otteren’s category will be named at the Partnership Gwinnett’s annual Economic Outlook event on Dec. 9.

“I am humbled by this nomination and pleased to be recognized in such a distinguished group of people,” Van Otteren said. “This nomination is testament to the many people who have encouraged, supported and come along side me. I would not be here without them.”

Each of the three award categories – Innovation, Imagination and Influence – will honor one community leader and one company that represent the best in Gwinnett and have demonstrated outstanding achievement and excellence in each respective category.

Van Otteren is a finalist in the Imagination category and is facing Mayor Nancy Harris, city of Duluth, Eagle Rock Distributing Company and Fusion Creative.

Finalists were selected from a record-setting field of 34 nominees that collectively represent the very best of Gwinnett leaders and corporations, positively impacting economic development.

“The finalists exemplify community and organizational transformation through their commitment to innovation, imagination and positive influence,” said Randy Dellinger, Gwinnett district manager for Jackson EMC and Partnership Gwinnett chairman. “The efforts and outcomes of companies and leaders like the award nominees and finalists compliment the work of the Partnership Gwinnett team, ensuring that Gwinnett continues to be successful at growing and attracting major employers, entrepreneurs and talent from all over the world.”
