Telling the traditional story with a new relatable twist

First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville will be presenting a unique live outdoor interactive production with audience involvement - The Way of the Cross.

Mary sees Jesus beaten440This production is set in a modern-day environment with an audience-interactive presentation of Jesus’ passion and death and will be told in light of current global events. It is based on the Protestant version of the Stations of the Cross. 

The playwright is Diane Dierks and Gene Paulsson is the Director. This live production includes a cast of more than 50 actors, over 100 volunteers and of course, the entire audience.

The Way of the Cross will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville Campground located at 700 Braselton Highway, Lawrenceville GA 30043 on April 3rd & 4th. Both performances will be begin at 6:30pm and expected to end before sunset at 7:30pm.

The presentation is free of charge, but audience members are encouraged to bring two items of non-perishable food (preferably meat products – 9 g. of protein) to support the Lawrenceville Co-operative ministry.
