Upgrades in Progress at Duluth City Parks

The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Department will be removing playground structures at Taylor Park and Church Street Park within the next few weeks.

The Taylor Park wooden “Train Water Tower” climbing structure will be replaced with a similar like structure made from galvanized power coated steel.

The new Taylor Park water tower structure will last for generations to come.

The Church Street playground will be removed to make way for another park amenity. The wooden playground structures at Church Street Park are out-dated and in need of replacement.

The Parks and Recreation Department would like the community to assist in either designing a new playground for the site or in suggesting another type of park equipment for the Church Street Park.
