The Clydesdales, renowned for their appearance in the national chain’s marketing campaign, are scheduled to stroll into Downtown Lawrenceville on Friday, December 2nd, adding the finishing touch to the City’s first-ever Hometown Christmas event.
“Our events and programs support community engagement and further drive economic impact for our downtown business district,” said Chuck Warbington, City Manager of Lawrenceville. “Being able to launch our Christmas Parade program with a nationally recognized brand only serves to further those goals and bring heightened awareness and exposure of Lawrenceville to the Metro Atlanta region. We are grateful to Eagle Rock for this opportunity!”
The Christmas Parade is scheduled to begin promptly at 7pm on Friday, December 2nd, 2016 and will originate in the Downtown area. City officials encourage guests to arrive with their cameras ready as the Clydesdales will be available for a brief time post-parade to allow for general photo ops with the crowd.
“The community support that fills Lawrenceville is undeniable and the City has been a great partner to work with during past events so we were thrilled to provide them with the opportunity to add the Budweiser Clydesdales to their Christmas Parade,” said Andrew Lorimer, Director of Marketing at Eagle Rock Distributing Company.
Along with the parade, Lawrenceville’s Hometown Christmas event will also feature Santa Claus, community floats, Christmas activities and more. For those groups interested in participating in the parade, please complete and submit the Participant Application.
Following the Christmas Parade, the City will gear up for the 2017 event season and a new calendar will be posted prior to the end of the year. For more information on the City of Lawrenceville, please visit www.lawrencevillega.org.
