Make a Heart for Health art project a great success

On May 23rd, Kimberly Goodloe, an Ambassador for the American Heart Association, and the Lona Gallery in Lawrenceville, held an afternoon of fun designing hearts with local residents. These hearts are going to be used  for display at future events.

For two years Kimberly has collected beautiful handmade hearts from students, churches, family, neighbors and friends to creat a collage commemorating the anniversary of her open heart surgery. The collage is dedicated to every woman, man and child affected by heart disease and stroke.

Kimberly would like to thank all her sponsors including Kroger of Riverside Parkway, Chick-fil-a on Duluth Hwy, The Lawrenceville Woman’s Club and The Lona Gallery.

At the event, people learned about maintaining a healthy heart and Kimberly shared her story of survival to bring heart awarness to the community. This was a free event and offered refreshments to all who attended.

Watch for future events in the near future.
