The restaurant is located at 911 Duluth Hwy 120, Suite E3, Lawrenceville, Georgia, 30043. Taylor, well-known throughout the Gwinnett community, has been in the pizza-making business in Lawrenceville for twenty years.
Taylor, dubbed, “Papa Charlie,” loves working with his employees. “My staff keeps me young and we’re a family here.” His cook and servers have been with him for years. “I’m a people person. I enjoy watching my customer’s families grow and have children of their own.”
The key to a great pizza is the dough and the sauce. “We spent months experimenting and perfecting the recipes for the pizza dough and sauce. Our hand-tossed pizza is customizable, made to order, and baked in a brick oven. I only use the freshest meats and vegetables, nothing comes out of a can, and I don’t use processed meats. Our cheese is of the highest quality,” touted Taylor.
Mystic Moon Gourmet Pizza serves a wide variety of menu items ranging from appetizers, soups, salads, ‘build-your-own pizza,’ calzones, and French roll sandwiches. There is also a special “kids menu” available. “We serve beer and wine. We host a wide variety of beer – from bottled, craft, to beers on tap. We are always changing out the beers to keep the selection fresh and to appeal to the beer connoisseur,” added Taylor.

“We even have a separate party room that can comfortably accommodate up to thirty-five people. Customers can reserve the room by calling the restaurant and asking for the manager on duty. Free delivery is available for take-out orders of $100 or more,” said Taylor. With cooler weather upon us, Mystic Moon Gourmet Pizza also has outdoor patio seating available.
If you love classic rock and roll music, you can catch Taylor’s band, “Men at Play,” every other Thursday evening from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Taylor taps into his creative spirit as the lead singer and guitarist.
Mystic Moon Gourmet Pizza is open from 11am – 10pm – Monday thru Thursday; 11am – 11pm – Friday and Saturday; and 11:30am – 10pm on Sunday. The restaurant is closed on two holidays, Easter and Christmas Day.
Taylor loves his restaurant, his customers, and takes great pride in the products he serves. “I enjoy it. I love going to work every day. Every day is an adventure in the pizza business!” Taylor beamed. “Come and share in the adventure at Mystic Moon Gourmet Pizza.”
