“From the beginning, Duluth has embraced the Paint Duluth event. The city has added a number of major sculptures and sponsors art-oriented events through the year. Mayor Nancy Harris has been a major supporter and advocate for the arts in Duluth. Paint Duluth is helping make an impact on the area” said 2 Smith Art Gallery Owner Larry Smith.
The event will be held in and around the beautiful Duluth, GA area. The excitement will begin with two workshops available to registered artists. On Wednesday, May 9, there will be a one-day workshop with nationally known artist, David Boyd. On Thursday, May 10th another one-day workshop with nationally known, artist Nancy Nowak. Participation will be open to all artists 18 years of age and is limited to 100 participants. To register for the event go to paintduluth.com. The public is invited and encouraged to come out May 11 – May 13 and see these artists paint Duluth. You don’t want to miss the one-hour paint out on the town green, Saturday morning from 9 am until 10 am. It is simply amazing.
