The Gwinnett Coalition partners with local organizations to combat these disturbing issues

On a cold Monday morning in December a single mom calls the Gwinnett Helpline, a program of the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services, desperately seeking resources for herself and her two young children. Not only has she just received notice that she’s about to be kicked out of the extended stay hotel room she calls ‘home’- but since her funds are low, she is also struggling to find someone to help her provide her children’s next meal.

Norcross - The City of Norcross is excited to welcome two nationally recognized artists in their new art exhibit entitled, ‘Stories, Stories, Stories’. The exhibit will run from February 9th through March 16th in the Rectory, the City’s historic church rectory-turned-gallery.

Gwinnett’s animal shelter will add full-time, on-site veterinary care under a new $360,000 contract approved by commissioners on Tuesday.

Planned PEThood of Georgia Inc. will provide a full-time veterinarian and veterinary technicians five or six days a week depending on the season.

City of Norcross to host a Meet and Greet Fiesta with special guests Mayor Craig Newton and City Council Members

The City of Norcross will host a Town Hall Fiesta at the Norcross Cultural Arts and Community Center, 10 College St NW, Norcross, GA 30071 on Saturday, February 10th from 11am to 2pm. This event will include time to mix and mingle with Mayor Craig Newton, City Council members, other city officials, as well as presentations by local organizations. It will conclude with greetings and comments from Mayor Newton.

Lawrenceville residents and business owners attend the City of Lawrenceville workshop to discuss the community's vision for the future.

On Thursday, January 25, 2018, the City of Lawrenceville hosted a strategic workshop at Cornerstone Coworking, inviting local residents and business owners for their input about the future vision of Lawrenceville. According to the city, "Through Lawrenceville Forward, the city is jointly updating its 2040 Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance to identify major issues, set a strong community vision for the future, develop action plans, and revise regulations in one fell swoop."
