Excitement in WORDS!!!

The Snellville Lions Club brought smiles to the 3rd Graders at W.C. Britt Elementary School.  Through a program called The Dictionary Project, the Snellville Lions donated a Webster Student dictionary to every student in the 3rd grade classes at W.C. Britt.

Jerry Chadwick “Chad” Baker, III, son of Jerry and Charity Baker of Covington Georgia, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout on September 24, 2016.  Chad, a senior at Walnut Grove High School, worked with the Monastery of the Visitation in Snellville Georgia for his Eagle Award project.

Runell Brooks Foster

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt to a host of nephews and nieces, and devoted dear friend, Runell “Mrs. Nell” Brooks Foster, age 110, Matriarch of Loganville, Georgia (Rosebud Road and Highway 78) and the third known oldest person in the State of Georgia, went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 21, 2016.

Tea and poetry for Lally Gaidelman Cyr

Snellville - A tea and poetry event was hosted by Silverleaf of Snellville, a personal care home specializing in memory care and Horizons Healthcare, an adult and geriatric healthcare practice based in Snellville. Lally Gaidelman Cyr, who is originally from England, was the guest of honor at the affair where various members of the community read selections from her recently printed book, Lally’s Voice: The Collected Poems of Lally Gaidelman Cyr.
