Three more subdivisions join streetlight program
(Lawrenceville, Ga., Oct. 14, 2014) – Since 1997, Gwinnett County has required developers to install streetlights in new subdivisions. For older neighborhoods, commissioners agreed last year to use funds from the 2009 SPLOST sales tax to pay for streetlight installation if a majority of homeowners sign a petition and agree to pay annual operating costs. This week, three more subdivisions accepted that offer.
