Amanda Riley, — a triathlete who played basketball and ran track and cross country for Brookwood passed away in 2010. Through the Amanda Riley Foundation, her infectious smile and zest for life lives on in the smiles of each child and family touched by the nonprofit organization.

“We all know we should not be in a world with childhood cancer, but we are. So, what are we going to do about it?” said Lauren Harrison, a teacher at Brookwood High School and a beneficiary of the Amanda Riley Foundation, a 501(c)3 that supports families battling cancer.

In their new book, Georgia POW Camps in World War II, co-authors JW Wetzel, and Dr. Kathryn Roe Coker share the little-known history of WWII prisoners of war who were held at a prisoner of war camps across the state of Georgia.
