Election Day set for March 19, 2019, at City Hall, Early Voting Begins February 25, 2019

The City of Lawrenceville has called for a Special Election on March 19, 2019, for residents to vote on the local adoption of Senate Bill 17 also known as the Sunday Brunch Bill.

Advocates for the elderly are praising Gov. Brian Kemp for proposing funding that could make a difference for 1,000 of the 7,000 older Georgians on waiting lists for home and community services. Kemp’s FY 2020 budget proposal, unveiled Thursday, includes an extra $1,898,000 for a state program that helps the elderly stay in their communities.

A local woman is opening her home to raise awareness of the needs of new mothers and their babies.

Regina Hart, an employee at Snellville City Hall, will host an open house to let others know about Helping Mamas, a Norcross-based organization which collects donations and supplies to help new mothers in need and their babies.

The Kiwanis Club of North Gwinnett is excited to announce their 11th Father Daughter Dance to be held on February 1st from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, followed by two additional dances on Saturday, February 2nd from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and 8:00 – 10:00 pm.
