Despite continued improvement in air quality, residents' health remains at risk from unhealthy air, according to American Lung Association's 19th annual air quality report
ATLANTA – The American Lung Asociation's 2018 "State of the Air" report found Atlanta ranked as the 23rd most polluted city for ozone in the nation. Compared to the 2017 report, Atlanta has seen an increase in the number of unhealthy days of high ozone. This is in keeping with a trend seen across the nation of higher ozone pollution levels.
DULUTH — The Southeastern Railway Museum and the city of Duluth will host the family-friendly Fast Track 5K this Memorial Day weekend.
The fourth-annual running of the race steps off at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, in downtown Duluth and features a patriotic theme. Participants and spectators are encouraged to dress in patriotic attire.

Atlanta, GA – April 16, 2018 – Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta recently announced the 2018 lineup for its annual “Power of Words” event. Eloipher Louifils and Christopher Deatherage, young poet and writers from Gwinnett, have been selected and will be performing their piece “Hate Builds: A Commentary on House Bill 492” on stage at the prestigious Woodruff Arts Center. Held Tuesday, April 24, hundreds of community supporters are expected to attend.
Duluth Art Week Kicks off with Arts Festival, Live Performances & Music on Duluth Town Green
Duluth –Duluth kicks off Art Week 2018 with a two-day juried Arts Festival presented by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces on April 28th & 29th. Live music and food trucks will accompany the event along with 60 painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metalworkers, glass blowers, jewelers, and crafters.
