Gwinnett County Public Schools has planned an information meeting in an effort to identify and support students with disabilities who are currently enrolled in private or home school programs in Gwinnett County. Attendees to the Child Find meeting will be provided information about possible services available through the school system to support students with disabilities.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced that seven Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) seniors, representing three of the district’s high schools, were selected as 2018 Corporate-Sponsored National Merit Scholarship award winners, earning corporate-sponsored scholarships to help fund their college education. These National Merit Scholars are part of a group of distinguished students nationwide judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies.

Despite continued improvement in air quality, residents' health remains at risk from unhealthy air, according to American Lung Association's 19th annual air quality report
 
ATLANTA – The American Lung Asociation's 2018 "State of the Air" report found Atlanta ranked as the 23rd most polluted city for ozone in the nation. Compared to the 2017 report, Atlanta has seen an increase in the number of unhealthy days of high ozone. This is in keeping with a trend seen across the nation of higher ozone pollution levels.
