Parkview HS ROTC receives honor

Parkview HS's Marine Corps Jr Reserve Officer Training Corps was recently recognized by the Gwinnett County Board of Education at their September meeting for  receiving the Naval Honor School Award.

The cadets presented the colors and lead the board and guests in the Pledge of Allegiance. The cadets in the color guard from left to right are: Will Gregg, Andre Maxwell, Jose Rios, Chase Noblett

Marine Corps JROTC Units are awarded Naval Honor Schools by the Commanding General Training  &  Education Command in Quantico, Va.

This designation is given to only 20 percent of the JROTC units in the nation in recognition of a unit’s exemplary performance.  This is the 6th consecutive yr the program has earned this award.
