Photography is the topic at Mountain Shadow Garden Club January 12, 2015

If you need a break from the winter blahs, plan to attend the regular monthly meeting of Mountain Shadow Garden Club (MSGC) on Monday evening, January 12. The program features “Garden Photography”, presented by Smoke Rise area resident Lyle Collins, owner of Southern Trillium.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Mr. Collins has extensive experience in landscape design and installation. With a combination of professional certifications and a commitment to unique design, his company has completed a wide range of landscape projects for local homeowners, businesses, churches, and other organizations.

From capturing images of beloved plants and flowers to recording seasonal beauty, photography in the garden preserves the memories of the whole, while still presenting the finest details. Lyle’s presentation will include tips regarding camera equipment, lighting, storing images, and more.

MSGC is open to men and women of all ages who enjoy learning more about a range of garden topics. The meeting and program activities begin promptly at 7:30 pm. Refreshments and socializing follow. The event is at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 5801 Hugh Howell Road, Stone Mountain. Free. For more information or for directions, call club president Jeff Raines at this number: 404-641-8633.
