Red Bandanna Pet Food Raises Money for Pet Charities Through “Round-Up” Program
Fix Georgia Pets non-profit group benefits from funds raised throughout the month of June.

Roswell, Ga. — All 12 local, metro Atlanta-area Red Bandanna Pet Food stores are participating in a fundraising promotion, dubbed “Round Up for Rescues”, this June.

The money raised through this program will benefit Fix Georgia Pets, a 501(c)(3) charity that brings low-cost spay and neuter services to local overpopulated pet areas.

Round Up For Rescues works simply like this: When customers make a purchase at any Red Bandanna Pet Food store in June, they will be asked to “round up” the total of their bill to the next whole dollar amount. This can be done with cash, checks or credit/debit cards, and the difference between the actual total and the rounded up amount will raise funds for Fix Georgia Pets.

Participating locations include: Alpharetta, Atlanta, Buckhead, Canton, Marietta, Milton, Norcross, Roswell and Suwanee. For a complete list of addresses, visit: www.rbpetfood.com

All those cents donated during Round Up for Rescues add up quickly, and Red Bandanna Pet Food is hoping to be able to donate $5,000 through this event, this year, to Fix Georgia Pets.

According to Jessica York, social media director for Red Bandanna Pet Food, “Round Up For Rescues is an annual program that we use to support local pet rescues and charities. Past recipients of this fundraising effort include Angels Among Us Pet Rescue and Fix Georgia Pets. In 2013, we raised over $3,200 for Angels, and last year we raised about $2,650 for Fix Georgia Pets. We’d like to see those numbers combined for this year!”

Josh Wiesner, executive director of Fix Georgia Pets says, “About 300,000 homeless pets are killed in Georgia each year, and 80,000 of those deaths are in metro Atlanta. Every dollar donated to Fix Georgia Pets helps to reduce those numbers. We appreciate Red Bandanna’s desire to help us in our mission of saving animals’ lives.”

Fix Georgia Pets is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization that works with recognized low-cost spay/neuter organizations to combat the significant pet overpopulation in Georgia. Fix Georgia Pets provides money to existing spay/neuter clinics, mobile units and private practice veterinarians who in turn provide their services to people who could not otherwise afford to have their pet “fixed.” For more information, visit www.fixgeorgiapets.org.
