South Gwinnett 1982 classmate and Snellville friend, Terry Downs, is bravely fighting his 2nd round of brain cancer.  First diagnosed in 2008 with IV Glioblastoma cancer, Terry was given just 18 months to live.  However, after a successful surgery, intense radiation and support from friends and family, he beat that round of cancer.

In July 2014, he was told the devastating news that he had a recurring tumor and this time it was inoperable. Terry is once again battling the disease and undergoing chemo and radiation treatments at Duke University. Friends of Terry have organized fundraising efforts to help provide financial support for Terry and his family while he is receiving these treatments.

Donations help ease the burden of medical bills and high monthly out of pocket expenses. Terry is making great progress in the reduction of the tumor thanks to the medicine, prayers and support.
