“The Snellville Days Festival is in its 42nd year and was originally created as a one-day fundraiser event for Briscoe Park,” said Parks and Recreation Director Lisa Platt. “It has now grown into a two-day event with 15,000 to 25,000 attendee’s every year. We have always tried to keep the community feel in the festival no matter how much it has grown or continues to grow. We have local groups and individuals performing on the main stage all weekend and new this year we will have Karaoke on Saturday.

“In trying to keep the community involved, this year we had a contest in the local high schools to have the students create the design for this year’s festival T-shirt.  This event brings in many people from the surrounding cities and all over the metro area, but our Snellville citizens and business owners are the ones we want to feel the most welcome and most appreciated.”

The event will place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 2 and 12 to 5 p.m. May 3. More than 150 craft, food, sponsor and civic vendors will be on site. There will also be live entertainment including music by Red Roots and Hero the Band as well as pig races and an acrobatic dog show.

Admission and parking for Snellville Days is free. There will be a free shuttle available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 2. Two shuttles will be running from the south parking lot of the Baptist Church of Snellville on Highway 78 to the main entrance of the park.
