Sheri Dorn, an Extension Horticulturist and State Master Gardener Coordinator at the University of GA in Griffin, will be Gwinnett County Master Gardeners Association’s guest speaker April 18, 2016.

Her subject will be “Sprouts” and Youth, School Learning for Children.

Sheri Dorn joined University of Georgia’s Department of Horticulture on the Griffin Campus as the new Extension Horticulturist and Georgia Master Gardener Extension Volunteer Program Coordinator in June 2012. Formerly the state coordinator for the Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program (1996-1999), Sheri brings Master Gardener volunteer management experience to the Georgia program. Sheri also served as Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent in Roanoke, Virginia (2008-2012). Between Extension appointments Sheri and her husband managed a small retail nursery and landscape contracting firm.
