Brookwood High School raises record amount for CHOA

Students at Brookwood High School recently made a historic donation to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). The school’s Student Government Association (SGA) raised more than $37,000 through a variety of events such as the SGA Movie Night, Haunted F-Hall, Homecoming, and its signature event, Miracle Marathon.

More than $12 Million Awarded Since Program Inception

Allen Moore, a recent graduate of Brookwood High School in Snellville, and Tabitha D’Amato, a recent graduate of Dacula High School, have been selected to receive a Georgia-Pacific Foundation Employees’ Children Scholarship. Both plan to study aerospace engineering at Georgia Tech.

Lilburn Woman’s Club Presents Check to Brookwood Aquaponics Class

Brookwood High School offers a ground-breaking new course called Natural Resource Management. It is an applied science course where students learn about environmental science through an entrepreneurial lens. Students design products for your garden, home and body all using sustainable agriculture. All products are made in the classroom by teaching kids entrepreneurship skills.

Brookwood High names theatre after long-time educators

Ken and Patty Lindahl are “famous” in the K-12 performing arts world… and while their names may not be in lights, they are prominently displayed at Brookwood High School which recently dedicated its theater in their honor. The Ken and Patty Lindahl Performing Arts Center recognizes the duo’s 30 years of service as the school’s theatre directors prior to their retirement.

Stephen An, a recent graduate of Brookwood High School in Snellville, has been selected as a recipient of a Georgia-Pacific Foundation Employees’ Children Scholarship. Each year, the company awards 50 scholarships to children of employees across the country. Georgia-Pacific presented Stephen with the scholarship at an event earlier this month.
