Carcoustics to Create 200 Jobs in Gwinnett County

(GWINNETT- METRO ATLANTA)  Gov. Nathan Deal, Partnership Gwinnett, Gwinnett County and a host of partners today announced that Carcoustics, a supplier to the automotive industry, will create 200 jobs and invest $6 million in a new Buford facility over the next five years. The newly created jobs will include positions in manufacturing.

Jerry Chadwick “Chad” Baker, III, son of Jerry and Charity Baker of Covington Georgia, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout on September 24, 2016.  Chad, a senior at Walnut Grove High School, worked with the Monastery of the Visitation in Snellville Georgia for his Eagle Award project.

Lynn Bowman sits at a heavy wooden table, his glasses set low on his nose as he peruses a document that’s probably older than he is. He is surrounded by tomes, old and fragile. Across from where he sits is a floor-to-ceiling glass case, chock full of memorabilia, photos of people long dead, letters written ages ago.
