On Friday evening, August 19, 2016, Central Gwinnett High School (CGHS) named and dedicated the new field house to honor the philanthropic work that included his time and talents of long-time Lawrenceville resident, Clyde L. Strickland.
Pearl Harbor – A 2014 Central Gwinnett High School graduate and Gwinnett County, Georgia native is serving in the U.S. Navy as part of a crew working aboard one of the world’s most advanced nuclear-powered fast attack submarines, USS Santa Fe.

I may never know the “rest of the story” but there was a “Magic Moment” at Central Gwinnett Cross Country that still makes me smile.
