BLAIRSVILLE — The board of directors of United Community Banks, Inc. (NASDAQ: UCBI) today announced that Lynn Harton has been named chief executive officer of United Community Bank (the “Bank”), UCBI’s banking subsidiary. Mr. Harton will continue to serve as president of UCBI and the Bank, as well as a member of their respective boards.
