Cheers to a New Year of Norcross Entertainment

City of Norcross continues monthly concert series as 2019 kicks off a new calendar of events.

2018 may be [nearly] over, but Norcross entertainment sure isn’t! First Friday Concerts are still going strong in the Cultural Arts & Community Center. Come ‘get down’ with the sounds of jazz, rock, Motown and more on the ‘First Friday’ of each month, from 7 to 9 p.m. It all starts with the smooth jazz of Luis Alas y La Calle Ocho Funk on January 4th!

Downtown Norcross’ Holcomb Bridge Road Railroad Crossing to See Improvements Beginning on February 18

Project to allow for safer vehicular crossing over railroad tracks, drives urged to drive safely

The City of Norcross would like to notify residents and visitors that the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation will begin preliminary work for the Holcomb Bridge Road Railroad Crossing Improvement Project. Upon completion of preliminary work, road closures are projected to begin in late February to allow for major grading and other work.

Norcross Welcomes the Gwinnett 200 Torch!

The City of Norcross celebrated The Gwinnett County Bicentennial by participating in the City Torch Relay on November 15th.

First Friday Returns!

The City of Norcross is excited to welcome back the First Friday Concert Series, a seasonal series to take place on the ‘First Friday’ of each month, October through May.

Sunshine Artist, “America’s Premier Arts and Crafts magazine,” has chosen Norcross Art Splash & Wine Festival as one of their “200 Best” events in the country. This is a huge honor, and the City of Norcross can show off this new feather in their cap!

One of Norcross’ Own Wins Ms. Super Senior USA!

Gwinnett has its very own superstar—Dr. Nancy Long of Norcross was recently declared Ms. Super Senior USA at national pageant in Las Vegas.

Norcross  – Did you know Norcross has its very own resident Ms. America? Those twenty-somethings have nothing on 85-year-old Dr. Nancy W. Long, whose full and vibrant life has landed her the well-deserved title of 2018 Ms. Super Senior USA recently in Las Vegas.

All Aboard the Norcross Trolley!

New $5 Historic Norcross Trolley Tours, every third Saturday beginning August 18th.

Norcross – All Aboard!! A great new adventure awaits tourists in Downtown Historic Norcross – a Trolley Tour which will be scheduled on the third Saturday of each month. The Norcross Historic Trolley Tour departs from The Crossing parking lot Saturday, August 18 at 11:00 a.m. for its maiden voyage!

Graves Park phase two construction starts soon

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday approved a contract that will allow Graves Park in west Gwinnett to offer features to help patrons beat the heat and engage in some pickup soccer.

“A Southern Exposure” to Play at Lionheart Theatre, July 19th-29th

NORCROSS — The Lionheart Theatre Company in Norcross, GA will present Kelley Kingston-Strayer’s play, “A Southern Exposure,” opening Thursday, July 19th and running through Sunday, July 29th. Performances will take place at the College Street Playhouse located in the heart of Historic Downtown Norcross.
