When Leigh McIntosh was a child, she spent a lot of time helping her mother teach. Being one of those students who got all the reading, writing and ‘rithmatic stuff, a lot of her day was spent helping others who were having trouble with those basic Three R’s.
Through the good, the bad and the in-between, Gwinnett native Tracy Ahearn has tried to follow a motto she learned from the Scouts of America —”Leave things better than you found them.”
In dedication to former cast member Nick Cain, who left earth, “too soon”, as his friends at Creative Enterprises say. Cast to play the part of “Scotty”, Nick had already memorized his lines when he passed, and he will be forever remembered for his dramatic skill and encouraging presence.
There is a lot of love, passion and positive energy at Creative Enterprises, not only among the staff, but it is evident among the clients they serve as well. On a recent visit, I was greeted by wide, welcoming smiles, generous greetings and even a hug or two! It may not be the “Happiest Place on Earth,” but it’s a close second in my book!
“He that loves reading has everything within his reach”, a quote by journalist/writer, William Godwin. I developed a love of reading as a young child and reading a good book remains one of my favorite pastimes.
