Eastside Medical Center collected 9 pounds of opioid medications during its “Crush the Crisis” opioid take-back day on September 7 to help combat the nation’s opioid crisis. Numerous community members participated in the event by dropping off unused and expired prescription medications.
On Saturday, September 7, Eastside Medical Center will host “Crush the Crisis,” an opioid take back event. Law enforcement officers from the Snellville Police Department will be on-site to assist with the collection and disposal of unused medications from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The diagnosis of a brain tumor can be life-changing for a patient and their family. The good news is that not all tumors that originate in the brain are malignant. Approximately 1/3 of primary brain tumors are meningiomas. Usually, these are benign. Depending on their location, they can often be cured with surgery and in many cases, the patient can return to their work and normal activities.
